If only we could quiet our minds...

About Me

Music consumes me, I think there are very few moments when music is absent from me, yet I can more than appreciate what silence holds. I can fall in love with the music nature creates, leaves rustling in the wind, the rain. I admire art. Art within everything...within nature. I can find myself fascinated with a tree or the way the water ripples. I don't like to think I require much, yet I do enjoy the finer things in life without grasping onto material possessions...only what's needed. I find perspective and balance an important factor in life. I find sadness in the lack of appreciation people have for one another and every being in this universe. I find beauty in people and experience...

Music:

Kompakt just might take over the globe with all their juicy sublabels. I thoroughly enjoy labels such as: Background, Shitkatapult, AudioNL, Morris Audio/Citysport, Minus, Echochord, Klang, Telegraph, Traum, Contexterrior, Tuning Spork, and on and on. :) I truly admire producers the likes of Anders Ilar, Peter Spiess, Ricardo Villalobos, Jay Haze, Monolake, Apparat, Stuart Walker, Hakan Lidbo, Deadbeat, Dave Miller, Maetrik, Brian Aneurysm, Twerk, Sutekh, selffish, Nao Takui and so on. :) Hip Hop; east coast in nature such as De La, Mos Def, Tribe, Busta, Lauryn Hill, Erykah Badu, Dialated Peoples, Common, Kanye West, Mobb Deep, Funk Doobiest, Delthafunkyhomosapien, Souls of Michief and Gorillaz. I can always get down with some downtempo like Theivery Corporation, Kruder & Dorfmeister, and more. I can't seem to deny what I listened to when I was younger like Pennywise, Bad Religion, Propaghandi, Rise Against, Cramps, Tool, NoFx and Decendents. I stay as far away as I can from anything twangy. ;) *shudders* Radiohead is an all time favorite, along with Portishead, Bjork, Lamb and some other old school bands from the 80s. Like I said before, music consumes me, I'm not sure where I would be without it.

Triple Moon

My anger had definitely been stirred&rattled&shook.  You could almost hear the pops and cracks as my emotion twisted and turned, churning negative thoughts into painful pinches of doubt.  An...

Forest

The hum of the fan seemed to vibrate through me, a sensation that lulls my mind for whatever reason.  Lying in bed, in the still of the night, my surroundings dark and I felt the wind as it blew...

Theres such beauty to be seen in the curl of the water. The way it races for the sand and the way its colors change as it folds onto itself over and over again. This time as I sat on the beach I n...

Still Movements

Slowly I looked around, yet my hair whipped as though I was moving faster than I was. My heart was pounding hard and deep inside me. Not in a way that you might think of your heart pushing out of your...

Chilly White

It was this aimless journey I seemed to be on, crunching amongst the snow. The night had been cold and my nose was the color of a cherry. My fingers were numb, so cold that they felt almost warm. I...
