Although Kine is in her early twenties she has already lived a life that many people only could dream of.
With a father who is a professional musician, Kine was surrounded with music from a very early age. She started singing in the local church choir, and it did not take very long before she wiped the floor with her strong gospel voice.
At the tender age of nine, Kine sang on a big national TV show, and melted the nation’s heart when she proclaimed that she would donate all her income from her debut single to homeless children in Mozambique.
After selling 100 000 albums, Kine moved with her family to the USA and started high school. Growing up with Earth, Wind and Fire, Stevie Wonder, Whitney Houston and Al Jarreau on her parents’s stereo, she discovered even more r ‘n’ b and soul music. She became hooked on beats and discovered a new way of producing music. One of Kine’s biggest moments were when Andrea Crouch – Michael Jackson’s choir arranger, invited her to sing with him in Los Angeles.After returning to Norway, Kine attended a performing arts college, while still working on her music and her voice. Jazz improvisation and voice control classes are in focus. She tours Norway, Africa, Spain and Denmark, and competes in the Eurovision Song Contest with the song “Wings Of Love†only 17 years old. There she meets the Norwegian producer and songwriter Ole Evenrude- who to this day still works as her mentor and A&R.Whilst recording this album, Kine has been juggling teaching song classes and being a soloist in the internationally acclaimed Oslo Gospel Choir.
On the album she has worked closely with Olav Fossheim (producer of Leila K, Bosson, Fernand Fuentes, Xiamena Abarca,.Ro Cee & PacerX), and songwriters from Chile and The Netherlands.
The finished product is a shamelessly commercial pop album!
Kine’s first single “Hit The Floor†has already been playlisted on national radio, and is ready to explode!
