Music, camping, traveling, festivals, friends, philosophy, art, books, government, comparative religions, far away places and spaces, and life are what interest me the most. If I'm not promoting or tapping a show than I'm probably sleeping or looking for a job that will allow me to go see a show.
Fun and interesting people that like to travel and see music. People that realize there is a whole world out there waiting and wanting to be enjoyed by all. People who know that they can make a difference if even a small one. Oh and people who don't try to mug me at 2:30 in the morning on my way home from the bar and then shoot me in the chest with a .22 caliber revolver.....Um yeah I don't want to meet those type of people again.
I like just about everything. My main rig as far as music goes is folk, roots, bluegrass, jambands. You know people like Woody and Arlo Guthrie, Yonder Mountian String Band, Elvis Costello, Hank Williams (Sr.,Jr., and the III), Ween, Seth Bernard, Daisy May, Stepin' In It, Greensky Blegrass, Grateful Dead, The Other Ones, Ratdog, B.B. King, Smokestack, U.V. Hippo, Brathe Owl Breathe, Gregory Stovetop, Railroad Earth, Ember Swift, T-Lo Effect, Four Finger Five, Pops Walker, Rachel Davis, Jen Sygit, Susan Fawcett, and stuff like that. Everything else out there is great too as long as it's not about bustin' caps.
I like movies, I've worked on some films even. Even though I'm not a big fan of music that glorifies shootin' people I am a huge fan of gangster flicks and westerns. My personal favs are The Godfather Triology (screw you Tyler part 2 is better than part 1), The Way Of The Gun, The Big Hit, Donnie Darko (yep there's a gun in that one too), Band Of Brothers, Tombstone, Resevior Dogs, Pulp Fiction, The Last Man Standing, Escanaba In Da Moonlight, A Day Without A Mexican, The Mexican, Suspect Zero, Crash, Sahara, and I'd say When The Smoke Clears and The Pressure Within; but Walt's to busy on myspace to get off his ass and edit them.
Yep I own one and watch it pretty regularly now.
I recently lost what was turning out to be my favorite book "My Life Inside Rock and Out" it was a biography about Bill Graham written by the same guy who wrote "Darkstar". So I just picked up "We The Living" for the umpteenth time.
My Dad and Bill Graham the concert promoter not the religious zealot
