About Tristan:
Tristan was born May 7th, 1988 in Stoughton, Massachusetts. Almost immediatelyafter Tristan was born he was placed into the foster care system where he wasmoved around from home to home until he was adopted by a couple when he was eightyears old. "Foster care had a very strong effect on me...the anger I had hasdefinitely been my catalyst" says Tristan. He is not looking for sympathy thoughhe says "I’ve been through a lot but I don’t want anyone to feel bad for me it’snot so much about what happened to me before as it is what I want do with my lifenow"
Tristan started performing at age 8. Songwriting at 14 and started working on hisfirst demo when he was 17. Mind you Tristan never had stage parents and did allof this on his own. Growing up Tristan loved Madonna . He admired herindividuality, sexuality and business savy. "I wan’t to challenge people the sameway she did back in the late 80’s and early 90’s... "I feel like artists nowadaysare raunchy just for the sake of being raunchy. What I like about Madonna is thatART was actually involved" Fashion is also a very important part of Tristan as anartist and for his first album he has chosen military clothes and eyeliner as hisnew look blending masculinity and feminity creating an androgynous appeal.
Tristan’s first big break came in 2005 when he met Berklee College of Musicgraduate Darcie Wicknick. Soon the two became songwriting partners and she tookTristan under her wing educating him on music business issues and protocol atBerklee College of Music. As time went on she referred him to producer Lewis West(New Kids on the Block, New Edition). Tristan and Lewis worked together for ayear until Tristan scrapped the idea of making it in Boston and instead decidedto move to New York City.
When Tristan was 18 he moved to New York City alone with one pair of clothes and100 dollars in his pocket. "It had to be the bravest thing I’ve ever done"Tristan says. To pay the bills Tristan go-goed at local clubs to make ends meet.Professionally, since moving to New York Tristan has modeled for Jashiro Dean,WilsonModels, Afred J. Barrera and has upcoming projects with Bridgette Bad,Metrovelvet.com and is recording an EP with electronica producer Darko Saric(Kayvon). Tristan is a newcomer to the New York City nightlife scene and his newelectro single will be released by March 2008.
