Bruce In Boise

I'm 53 years young and retired from the psychiatric social work field. Born in Boston, MA as Donald Alan Thorpe, subsequently adopted, but my "bio-family" calls me "the Donald"...cofused yet? Spent ages 4-18 in Owensboro KY. I moved to Boise from Waterford CT. My elderly mother, my cat Max and my two Chihuahuas Maddie and Lexie are still in CT. My little sister, my bestfriend, died in 2005 in Nashville where she lived and worked, so it's been lonely not talking to her daily. I enjoy European travel as well as back and forth to Boston(to my sister Kay Beth's almost every weekend!) as often as I can. I am a retired psychiatric professional. I suppose I am a bit old fashioned and believe in true love and communication. I am over educated, intelligent and very independent. My interests are extremely eclectic and varied. I love being on the water, swimming, boating. I also love to cook and entertain. My parents did a great job and I was raised to be kind, considerate and tolerant of others. I always try to be the best person I can be. I enjoy helping others who are less fortunate than myself.
