We are actively seeking new members of the MDRV community, and are looking for roller girl talent as well as supporting cast (refs, organizers, stats folks, more). Think you might be ready for some roller derby action? Three steps and you’re there.
STEP 1…
Get connected to MDRV! Check out a practice or two, and meet some of the MDRV girls. Your best bet is to send an interest email to our “meat processorâ€
[email protected] who will take you from there. It is also a good idea to take it upon yourself to learn more about what the sport is REALLY all about, and study up on the rules.
STEP 2…
Strap on your skates, and join us for practice sessions anytime we are scheduled. Proper equipment is a MUST, and medical forms must be on file. You will also have to submit monthly dues (currently $20/mo) if you decide to give it a go. Remember that derby truly takes all kinds: all shapes, all ages, and all backgrounds…. And you never know what you can do until you try. It is diverse, and it rocks. NOTE: Practice schedules MAY be modified from time to time due to weather issues and/or sister league activities we attend as a group.
STEP 3…
When you’re fierce and ready, you’ll get rostered in the league, can register your derby name on the official roller girls website, and will be placed on a team within MDRV.
