About Me

My glasses are a bit square, like me. I'm the kind of person that likes to learn new things on a regular basis, usually from a book or trial and error. My life centers around music and naps. I'm a classically-trained pianist working as musical director for New Light MCC where I teach music to the choir and provide music for services. That's my paying gig - my side project is trying to write songs that don't sound like Lisa Loeb b-sides. My life is about growth, kindness, spirituality, hard work, and as much fun as I can have. The Gnostic Gospels have my attention now...nothing like some old school Jewish mysticism and Greek knowledge.I also skate and referee for the Mason Dixon Roller Vixens, because everything is better on wheels. Horror movies are my guilty pleasure of choice. Also, opera, bluegrass, the music of Edith Piaf, inappropriate humor, and politics.Eventually I'd like to retire to a sheep and alpaca farm where I will grow miles of the best yarn on the East Coast.Other interests include: knitting, napping, cooking, robots, pirates, films, dogs, yarn, coloratura sopranos, horror flicks, life.I edited my profile at MsPremade.com . check out these Myspace Layouts!
