About Me

MYO Productions was founded in 2000 by Director/Choreographer Josie Walsh, former professional dancer with the Joffrey Ballet, Zurich Ballet, Oregon Ballet Theatre & LA Chamber Ballet. Choreographic credits include: Walt Disney's feature of "Tinker Bell", MGM movie premiere "Bullet Proof Monk", Red Bull Formula One Party, CBS sitcom "That's Life"," Pilgrim" Rock Opera, LA Music Awards, 2004 Grammy industrial, Detroit Fringe Festival, Paul Mitchell industrial, Terri King Fashion Theatre, Focus fish Flying Circus, Queen Mary Live, Project Angel Food, Aeolian Ballet Theatre "Taming of the Shrew", Zurich Opera, MYOKYO productions: "Garden of Reason", Image-Nation"," Gone with the Whim", "Avalon" & "Carnivinyl".
MYO is an eclectic company rooted in contemporary ballet with strong modern influences, martial arts, and a touch of hip-hop. MYO dancers go from bare feet to pointe to high flying aerial stunts in the rafters.
Ingrid Hoffman collaborates with Myo Productions as a performer and Aerial Choreographer. Her unique aerial dance combines acrobatics, circus arts, and martial arts in a variety of choreographic styles to "expand the dimensions of dance performance". Her work incorporates trapeze, hoop, and aerial silk, as well as original custom rigging.
Adding to their unconventionality, MYO performs to original LIVE music by the industrial rock band KYO (formerly SURVE). Front man Paul Rivera so happens to sing and play guitar on stilts, rocking the house down at 9'-4".
MYO is dedicated to redefining Theatre experience by fusing a multitude of art forms and hopefully breaking a few rules along the way.
