Subliminal a.k.a. Sean Maxim Mauricette is a jack of all trades. Part beat-boxer, DJ, lyricist and producer, this is the deadly combination that makes up Subliminal's style. In 1998 Subliminal toured Canada and Western Europe as well as performed the 1999 Much Music Video Awards and opened for such recording artists as D12, Arrested Development and Jagged Edge to name a few.Currently a member of ACTRA Subliminal also has his eyes on acting. Working along side actor Kevin Bacon and singer Jill Scott, Subliminal has also been cast for primary roles in the Comedy Networks hit television series After Hours with Kenny Robinson, playing dual roles as both the shows DJ and co-host.As of December 1999, Subliminal has produced, directed and performed numerous radio commercials along with television commercials for Sony Music Canada, Sprite, Mac Donalds and Kellog Pop-tarts. Known to some as an interpretive sound artist, Subliminal is also responsible for producing the theme music for CBC radios daily show, Here and Now.A graduate from the University of Toronto's faculty or Architecture, Subliminal is the first ever recipient of the Arts and Culture award presented to him from the Black Students Association of the University of Toronto. Currently the key note speaker for his own youth mentoring program entitled 'The P.U.L.L. project', Subliminal knows that youth need encouragement to follow the right path and not be deterred by the negative stereotypes and images perpetuated by society.
From designing new beats and scratches to shows and skyscrapers, Subliminal constantly reinvents formulas for success and is currently producing his debut album entitled "Subliminal Inflections".
