About Me

So, I just started this art profile, I'm trying to get some pictures up quickly. More to come, I promise. I am working on several new paintings. I have a new year's resolution to get my work framed and for sale somewhere, probably EureKan Art Gallery, owned by Ken and Nancy Foggo. It's a fantastic gallery- if you haven't been there you definitely should check it out. They have a ton of great local art for very reasonable prices. They carry my jewelry. They are on North Main, down by Sonny's Pizza (and about to get the new sidewalk finally, Yay!) My jewelry is also for sale at Eureka Thyme, another fabulous mostly-local shop, located in the Quarter (next to Hart's). I haven't been there long but they have been doing really well with my jewelry, esp. big necklaces. I also have jewelry at the Trading Post, the Eureka shop for Blue Spring. They are on Spring St. They have a lot of nice things there as well; it's all very earthy and Native-American themed. Last but not least, I have my jewelry at Regalia Handmade Clothing, where I also work part-time. It's across the street from the Palace Bathhouse. The clothing is all handmade, all natural fibers, mostly linen, cotton, or silk; the style varies from retro/vintage to ethnic/Eastern. But mostly it's just very simple and classic, and of course, comfortable. And how often do you get to have Designer clothing tailored specifically for you? My jewelry matches the clothing perfectly, and a lot of times I actually make a necklace to match a particular item. I am sort of apprenticing there, learning to make the clothing, and doing sales as well. I know about 15 garments now, and counting! She is the daughter of two artists- her father Lynn Williams, a clay sculptor, and her mother Jenny Gies, a batik artist and jewelry designer. Rosie grew up in the art community of Eureka Springs and was surrounded by art throughout her childhood. It is no surprise that she is naturally gifted with creativity and a love for fashion design.Rosie creates her artistic brand of jewelry using a variety of pearls, gemstones, sterling silver, leather, and glass beads. Her refreshing style combines geometric and organic forms for a look that is both modern and elegantly earthy. By integrating her own original techniques with traditional bead stitches, she creates one-of-a-kind designs in unique color combinations. She strongly believes in using all natural gems in her work and is inspired by the colors and patterns that naturally occur in stones. She draws inspiration from the beauty of the natural Ozark outdoors as well.
