Although MIRACLE is no longer together as a band.. the music and legacy has lived on through the years. Some history: In 1997 Jared Campbell, Bob Farrell and Carmen Fancher began playing together to a small group of teenagers in a local church youth group. With the extraordinary talents of (the now well known) Jared Campbell.. MIRACLE took the Christian praise & worship experience to a new level in the Southern Tier of New York. Quckly gaining noteriety for their blend of melodic acoustic guitar, powerhouse drumming, smooth bass and ethereal vocals.. MIRACLE added keyboard player Tony Guy in late 1997 to enhance their sound. Often accompanied by backing vocalist Rachelle Terry, MIRACLE moved from small church venues to lakeside retreats, outdoor concerts, local festivals and arena's. While still maintaining "the call" for church events.. it was the decision of the band to never charge any money for the increasing invitations to play. Rounding out the mix in 1999, lead guitar phenom Steve Johnston added the extra kick to what MIRACLE would still refer to as a 'worship team' (versus calling itself a 'band')
With the blend of acoustic and electric guitar, MIRACLE had soon crossed the borders into Pennsylvania as word had gotten out about the countless number of people who have been touched by God's vessel of sound. The chemistry was perfect.. and the anointing was undeniable as MIRACLE's hard rock/praise and worship paradigm was recorded in late 2000-2001. Though intended to be a full length CD.. MIRACLE completed and released REACHING OUT in early 2001 as an EP. A musical tribute to our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. Again.. with no intention on making profit, REACHING OUT had become the musical Message of Hope, available at MIRACLE shows, Christian bookstores and through mail ordering. Though only 1500 copies of REACHING OUT were pressed.. a majority of these CD's were given away.. in hopes that the Message would be received.
Shortly after the release of REACHING OUT, MIRACLE disbanded to pursue other creative avenues. Musically.. as a solo act.. Jared Campbell has gone on to become one of Broome County's most well known and adored artists.. and has made his mark nationally. With several albums to his credit, including the 2004 release 'REST OUT,' Jared has kept his faith alive.. and though he has moved into secular avenues.. his positive message is clear.
The message still gets carried: Jared, Carmen, Steve, Tony and some friends get together several times a year to play and worship together, filling in for the worship team at a local church... and though some have dubbed these get together's as 'the new Miracle' it is still the hope of all involved that MIRACLE's CD, REACHING OUT will continue to speak to the hearts of those who may have never heard the Hope... or felt the Peace... or experienced the Love. In this light... and with that intention... we hope you have a listen.
GOD BLESS! -Carm 12/4/05
