Stepping Into Tomorrow...

About Me

REST IN PEACE, Lil' Soldier...x You'll never be forgotten.
What's good people, Sherman here. Well boy, what to say; i'll guess i'll start off by saying i'm an easy going and open kind of person. I love to talk to people, although I can be somewhat quiet and introspective at times, but i've been told that i can CHAT.. and i suppose i do have my moments y'na?? But yeah i'm a people guy. I'll always show a good side 'lest you do me bad or you're just wrong attitude-wise. I'm very big on that phrase treat others as you'd like to be treated..
Friends and fam are the most important things in life to me- with excellent friends and family there is no distinction apart from blood and I'm lucky to have been blessed with some excellent people in my life. The way I see it, regardless of where you find yourself come the end of the story, whatever wealth, riches and all the material things you may have amassed, if you have neither 'real' friends nor family I challenge you to tell me sincerely that you're content and happy..
I love my Father in Heaven and i'm TRULY thankful to him for coming into my life when he did, and making me the person that I am. Lord knows things could have been veeeery different..
I'm a black man so y'know I love my food... done. Now, I. LOVE. MY. MUSIC. Simple tings. I've always had it around me and my passion is ever-growing, plus i'm a musician that plays drums and trys to blag a few chords on the keyboard occasionally. WATCH OUT, i'm comming..!! lol, jks.. I love listening, playing and talking about. LIVE music is what it's about.. nothing like being @ a gig and observing the interaction between musicians and absorbing the raw essence of it all. Whooooo... *sigh* I don't really listen to the radio, reason being that a lot of it doesn't appeal to me (I'm a grown-ass man dawg, lol) and a lot of it is in my opinion force fed to us (be it junk or not, and there's a hell of a lot of junk out there *cough* ying-yang *cough*) and constantly perpetuated to sell an image (fake ganster/thug, player, whatever) moulded by the media to make a rich, fat grey man in a dutty pinstripe suit richer. People, the videos ain't real life...
I'm also into visually stimulating artwork; photography, painting, graphic design.. and I'm an artistic creative in the process of working some plans. Watch this space...
"High achievement always takes place in the framework of high expectation." - (Jack Kinder)
FYI; Hacker problem... Info and advice from Tom's blog.
In a world where songs like "Laffy Taffy" and "I’m In Love With a Stripper" have been in heavy rotation recently, songs such as these stick out like a sore thumb... but that seems to be the point.

Marvin Gaye - "What's Going On / What's Happening Brother"
This live performance comes from the long out-of-circulation 1973 film,
"Save The Children" with James Jamerson on bass.

This film seriously looks heavy...
most definately essential viewing!
