About Me

Thrust rocks...period. Formed in 1998 by bassist/vocalist Mike Guzman, guitarist Jason Graczyk and former drummer Ray Hill III, Thrust established itself at such prominent Seattle clubs as the OK Hotel, Colourbox, Jimmy Zs, and Ruperts. With a high-energy sound rooted in rock with elements of metal/ska/jazz and an emphasis on live performance, the band drew an instant core following. After gigging for over a year and increasing attendance at every show, the demand for recorded material was evident. In 2000, Thrust recorded and produced their first self-titled release at Campbell Studios in Seattle. The CD was met with enthusiasm and applause, increasing the bands fan base even more. Before recording their follow-up and embarking on a proposed national tour, the band self-destructed and took a hiatus while members pursued other musical projects. In 2005, Thrust re-formed with hard-hitting drummer Matt Badger. In the past year, Thrust has re-claimed their status as a must see live act playing on impressive bills at Neumos, The Central Saloon, Doc Maynard's, El Corazon, EMP, Hell's Kitchen, The Lakepointe, Mars Bar and The Rendezvous. Thrust will go into the studio this winter to record a full length follow-up to their first EP release.Essentially, Thrust is a dynamic live band that loves to perform. They rock, their music is thumpin and it hits you like a jackhammer. Thats why people keep coming to see them. This profile was edited with Thomas' myspace editor™ V2.5
