About Me

History:
Neuronomicon is a melodic, heavy metal band from Atlanta, GA. A spread of influences has left listeners with the debate as to which subgenre of metal the band is best classified as, though the general consensus lies somewhere between melodic death metal, and black metal. Eventually earning the nicknames, "Blazing Electric Death" and "Terror Metal", due primarily to the band's near-obsession with iconography typically reserved for only the most militant Industrial acts, and apocalyptic "black metal" acts such as Dimmu Borgir.
The band's musical style is best charicatured by what has come to be termed "blazing" guitar leads and lush, orchestral keyboard textures. The lyrical content is focused primarily on mass-death, and other various apocalyptic and tyrannic imagery. The lyrical and ideological background were typically found in Industrial and its offshoots(war, dictatorships, and the man/machine paradigm that was rapidly reflecting the turn of the 21st century prior to the subsequent fall into the contemporary[as of this writing] "Dark Age"); however, the musical content was primarily influenced by Scandinavian bands such as In Flames, At the Gates, Children of Bodom, and Arch Enemy.
