S.I.B...the new mantra of Central Jersey Hardcore. About to release thier third effort, Mastered at Cherry Hill's Labyrinth Studios, and Recorded at Jersey City's legendary Big Blue Meenie studios with Erin "Lefty" Farley (Madball/Thursday/TBS/Agnostic Front/Sick of it All) at the helm, A Life Less Perfect is poised to destroy audiences with thier brutal version of NJHC.A Life Less Perfect formed in the spring of 2000 from the ashes of Six Red Bullets and Thoughts Past. In a short time, they produced the "Embers of Red" demo at Big Blue Meenie studios in Jersey City. The next two years were spent playing shows and building a following. 2003 was a huge year for the band, as they were nominated against God Forbid for the Asbury Music Awards "Best Heavy Band" category, and they released the full-length "When the silence broke..." , a record they were never happy with.As is the case with many bands, fallouts occurred, and changes were made. The current lineup proving to be the hardest, heaviest, and "ONLY" version of ALLP there is.A Life Less Perfect has a sound firmly rooted in Hardcore with melodic accents. They have been compared to many bands in thier genre, but encompass a wide range of influences. The sound is very firmly rooted in tough-guy hardcore, but incorporates the inflluence of both newer heavy bands as well as well as music from outside if the heavy spectrum.
