About Me

I just moved from Tulsa, Oklahoma to Mt. Pleasant, SC. I only know a handful of people, mostly co-workers and I would love to enjoy Charleston but don't know where to go yet. My daughter and i have been to a beach for dinner most of the nights we've been here. Most of our things are still in boxes but we already love it here!As for a little about me....I know what I want, who I am at my core and I'm happy with most of the choices I've made in my life. There is one incident I wish daily I could relive and make a different decision, but time will not allow us to have that moment again and forces us to move forward in our lives whether we want to or not. If ever my heart's desire could come true, I'd never squander that chance again.I am a funny and quirky person. I have a HUGE and tender heart. I am averagely attractive (gorgeous red-hair, pretty green eyes, freckles, generous sweater fillers), but my personality is kick-ass! LOL! I have an alter-ego. Her name is Lucy. She gets me into all sorts of awkward and sometimes catastrophic situations that later turn out to be so hilarious that they sound totally unbelievable! Honest! Just like Lucille Ball-she has the best of intentions but mostly it is chaos of the hilarity kind! **I really don't have a split personality, it's just easier to say that LUCY f*d up than to take the responsibility myself! LOL! Otherwise I would think I shouldn't leave the house!

My Interests

I love the beach and currently I'm interested in getting to know the new place and area in which I live.

I'd like to meet:

Funny and interesting people who just love life! People who have made peace with their inner demons and are free to be a good friend and feel real emotion and be honest with themselves and me about what's going on in their heads and in their world. I truly think it would be terrific to know that there's someone who realizes that their life is made better by my being in it and conversely that mine is also.I want to make friends who aren't high maintenance, and who sincerely care about SOMETHING or SOMEONE besides themselves!

Music:

I have the ipod on shuffle so there's no telling what's going to play next! My musical tastes are EXTREMELY broad and the only think i can't stand to listen to is Tejano music - mainly because it's like having hearing dislexia!

Movies:

I liked: So I married an Axe Murderer; Turner and Hooch; Oh Brother Where Art Thou?; Monty Python-et al; Wedding Crashers; Must Love Dogs; School of Rock; Old School; Anchorman; -prefer comedy over drama and almost never watch horror films!

Television:

I watch a little TV (24, Desperate Housewives, Blue Collar Comedy, How I met your Mother, Two and Half Men, The New Adventures of Old Christine, The Class, Fox and Friends-morning).

Books:

I have read almost everything Stephen King has ever written. I even read his book about writing a book. Also, I have read "Dead men do tell tales"-it's a book about forensics and unsolved murders and a little excerpt about John Merrick the Elephant Man. I have read "Good to Great", "The Total Money Makeover" and "Getting Things Done". I have read the "Chronicles of Narnia"-CSLewis, about 10 times. I have read both Bridget Jones Diaries. I have read Richard Marshinco's books "Red Cell" and "Green Team" and enjoyed them. I am reading "Nice Girls don't get the corner office 101" and I'll very likely not have a lot of time for reading since I have so much going on right now.

Heroes:

My grandparents because they were just good people and tried to live good lives and be decent to everyone. As far as modelling that....I do a pretty good job!
