I said Venice, & you heard Vegas. I say either way, baby, let's go.

About Me

Layout Provided By FreeCodeSource.com - Myspace LayoutsWow, I haven't updated this in a while. So I'm an economist who lives in DC, but is from Naptown. Love the Midwest, so don't you dare knock it, but life out east is growing on me. I think it took finding people I really adore hanging out with to sway the verdict. Traveling is something I wish I had more time to do, and right now I think Japan would be an amazing place to visit. Possibly, the whole Laos, Cambodia, Thailand area. I am a painter, but I wish I had more day light hours to paint things in because natural light is always better. I ride my bike everywhere & shout at drivers who ignore the share the road laws. They never hear me because they move too fast. Damn them. I need something new to read because I've finished all the books I have and it seems that every library in town in closed or not accessible to the public. I love sushi. and spaghetti parties. and avocado toast. and lox & cream cheese bagels are starting to rank high on my list. I brew beer. I just bottled a honey amber and a scottish ale. Good stuff, but my closet is starting to look like I'm storing up for the nuclear holocaust...only I forgot the canned goods & the water... oh, and all of you must check out my brother's hip hop crew, Nearest Nova at www.myspace.com/nearestnova. Ciao. xmas 2006 & new years 2007

I'd like to meet:

Make me laugh. Or want to hug you.

Music:

Atmosphere, Aesop Rock, Jeff Buckley, Bjork, RJD2, INXS, Brother Ali, Africando, Bill Withers, Ani D, Me'Shell Ndegiocello, Sage Francis, The Shins, Nearest Nova, Prince, Llasa, Tool, Louis Armstrong, Beuna Vista Social Club, Afro Cuban Allstars, okay by now you should be figuring out that this is fairly diverse and you'll never be able to guess what's in my cd player this time, Morphine, Portishead, Theivery Corp, U2, Talking Heads, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Tricky, David Bowie, Rolling Stones, Matt Pond PA, CRayz Wallz, Rakim, Iron & Wine, Eagles of Death Metal, Death Cab, G Love, Modest Mouse, Everything But the Girl, SLick Rick, TV on the Radio, NERD, Jack Johnson, Sly & the Family Stone, etc.

Movies:

The Last Unicorn, Labyrinth, City of God, The Departed, Boondock Saints, Dangerous Liasons, Amelie, Elizabeth, I've seen a lot of bad/weird movies recently, like Party Monster, Assasination Tango, and Dreamers...I think the only one I'd recomend is Dreamers, but it will leave you feeling slightly odd...like reading Anais Nin. Oh, and I can't forget One Giant Leap(They interview everyone from Tom Robbins to Baba Maal to Maya Angelou & set it all to the most incredible music).

Television:

Don't own a TV, but here's a good quote instead: "We embrace war or religion—usually both at the same time—as a means o' defeatin' death, but neither o' them do a blinkin' thing but sanction dyin'. Throughout history, Death's best friend has been a priest with a knife." -Wiggs Dannyboy Oh and here's another one, just change Russians to the rest of the world: "The Middle East is smokin' cigars in the fireworks stand again, and that shallow jackass in the White House is waggin' his nuclear-headed peepee at the Russians. People are nervous." And just to make this a little less gloom and doom, one more: "THE HIGHEST FUNCTION OF LOVE is that it makes the loved one a unique and irreplaceable being."

Books:

Tom Robbins rocks my world. Fierce Invalids and Jitterbug Perfume are my favorites. Gabriel Garcia Marquez has the nostalgia and contentment of a perfect summer afternoon. David Sedaris describes my family (only not as generous or forgiving as mine)! Our version of Machen the german shepard (1, 2, & 3) is Star the german shepard (1, 2, & 3). Lindsey Davis writes a wonderfully sordid portrayal of ancient Rome. So...pick an author, not just a book.

Heroes:

Favorites: Amber & James. You know this. & whoever made this video.
