Heretix666 can trace its beginnings back to 1987 with aastoraath tha sykopath and dj slideahand under the name of capn-cut crew. two local direct to tape albums (thru the eye of mi third leg 1989, gotcha prayin wit yer kneez in the air 1990) were released in limited areas. a third album (unified voices of the schitzofrenic) was recorded, but never released. in 1991 mxlplx megarapolis joined the duo and the crew changed their name to lunatic fringe. the future heretic Big Shawn joined as hype man in 1992. during that same year a small label (stallion records) took a distinct interest and decided to sign the three man group. many hours of tracks were recorded from 1991-1993 for their debut (three cards short of a full deck), but none were ever allowed to see the shelves of local record stores. the label was poor and had several acts with planned releases scheduled ahead of lunatic fringe. after a lengthy dispute lunatic fringe was released from their contract, but without their name or tracks. as 1993 ended the group was in shambles. aastorath and mxlplx recorded a few new tracks with the new name of heretix666 in 1994, but for all extensive purposes the group was dead. in 1995 aastoraath produced the tracks that would eventually become the heretix666 bootleg debut songs4 thedevil 2 dance2. this album saw limited release on the fledgling JONES DaAdi label. at this time Big Shawn transformed from hype man to full fledged vocalist. in 1997 the group stepped into the early stages of recording their official debut Evilution 2012ce. on may 18th 1999 Evilution 2012ce hit the shelves and CD players of America. The Release if Evilution was followed by a single (mostly given away outside ICP st louis show in summer of 1999), and a remix ep on mp3.com. The Group returned to the lab to craft their second LP Satanic Devils Food Acid Trip in the fall of 2000. the album was completed in the spring of 2001, but due to money problems the album was not relesed in the same manner as evilution. The album saw release eventually on mp3.com. During those sessions, dj slideahand made his final descision to leave the group. Later Mxlplx and Big shawn would move across the continental US and separate the group entirely. In the summer of 2003, Aastoraath and Mxlplx joined forces once again under the name of heretix666. joining them were two new members chaos darknite and nation. The Four now craft songs for the third heretix666 lp tennatively called shadenfreude.
