About Me

I trained at Guildhall School of Music & Drama and have been busy since I graduated in 2005. 2007 a particularly busy time! In January and February I traveled to Australia and New Zealand which was a wonderful experience. As well as acting I am also a model and dancer, and was fortunate to be offered some work for a major high street store in the USA. It was hard work but I did get to see some wonderful parts of the USA Eastern Seaboard.
During the late summer I featured within an episode of the long running drama series Midsomer Murders which stars the delectable John Nettles and his sidekick Jason Hughes. This was only my third professional acting job and I had so much fun with a wonderful cast and crew. The shoot took place in some beautiful parts of Oxfordshire. Anyone who has considered visiting Thame or Henley on Thames is advised to do so. They are both simply gorgeous. I have previously been in Eastenders (2007) and Dream Team (2006).
2008 has started off rather slowly. There has been a number of auditions for small roles in big movies, but no luck so far. Acting is a wonderful profession, and it can be well paid, but until you make the 'big time' or grab yourself a regular role you cannot rely on it as an income. Hence that is why I work in the Ticket Office of a west end Theatre during the week!
In April a group of us are flying to Las Vegas for a 12 day trip. The journey will also involve visiting Los Angeles, San Diego, Mexico and attending the Coachella Festival. I am so looking forward to the slow drive up Route 1 through places such as Santa Barbara and Carmel! I have always wanted to see them.
YES - I AM A SERIOUS TREKKIE !

My Interests

I make the most of any spare time I have. I like to keep fit on my mountain bike. I did try running and the gym but I found it so boring. There are always new places to see when in the saddle, especially in London with all the parks. I am also keen on water sports including canoeing, surfing and water skiing.

I'd like to meet:

I have been fortunate to meet some amazing people in my life, both personally and professionally. I look forward to meeting many more!

Colm Meaney who played MILES O'BRIEN so brilliantly, in DS9. I had the pleasure of meeting the great man when he performed at The Old Vic in 2006. I envy anyone who has yet to see the 7 series of Deep Space Nine. It was magnificent, and the characters are sorely missed by all us Trekkies!

Music:

I am a huge fan of the 1980s and the music which was created during it. My heroes from the era (and still remain) include STEVE STRANGE and DAVID BOWIE. FADE TO GREY is my favourite song of all time. Overall, however my tastes (like pretty much everything in my life) are quite eclectic. I have recently started listening to early Roxy Music albums and the weird and wonderful work of Brian Eno. I strongly recommend the album 'My Life in the Bush of Ghosts' (which was made with David Byrne) which is really very good. Plus (for my sins perhaps?) I have been getting into the mid 1980's glam rock sound of WHITESNAKE, VAN HALEN, DEF LEPPARD ! How about that ! GUNS 'N ROSES changed it all, and seriously raised the bar, when they arrived in 1988 though !

Movies:

I am fan of foreign film, especially French language cinema. My personal favourites are La Règle du Jeu, Amélie, Gazon Maudit, Delicatessen, Cyrano De Bergerac, Breathless, Les Enfants du Paradis and Jésus de Montréal. Should you find the opportunity of seeing the following films I strongly advise you do so! Bicycle Thieves (Italy) Pan's Labyrinth (Spain) Seven Samurai (Japan) City of God (Brazil) Oldboy (South Korea) Andrei Rublev (Soviet Union)

Television:

I am a sucker for soaps and long running series. Holby City, Casualty, Midsomer Murders (obviously) There are many more! Fonejacker and Extras make me scream with laughter. I am also a big fan of US made shows such as Prison Break, The Unit, My Name is Earl (SO funny) Scrubs, The Riches, plus of course Star Trek. I am not sure what others think but I feel that both Scrubs and Prison Break have gone on for too long, although the last sequence of Prison Break does seem to be picking up again!). There has to be no doubt that the first two series were serious television. However, some of the plots in series 3 have been rather ridiculous! I was never really into the original series of Star Trek but I am totally passionate about TNG, DS9 and to a lesser degree Voyager. I could however never quite get into Enterprise. It was something about the casting which was just not right somehow !My favourite ST actors are COLM MEANEY (you knew that) and ARMIN SHIMERMAN.

Books:

"Star Trek: Deep Space Nine: Crossfire (#4.12)" (1996)

Chief Miles Edward O'Brien: "I don't know why Captain Sisko insists on me being here. I'm not a senior officer."

Dr. Julian Bashir: "Maybe he just wanted to see you in your dress uniform. It does show off your figure."

I am originally from Berkshire and I have supported READING FC since they were not very good ! I am such a fan of everyone associated with the club ! I just hope we manage to STAY UP this year. My favourite player is THE KIT !
