G.P. Clark I'm a Rockin' Jock. I play drums for the band Drivin' Rain. I've coached basketball on a college level which is my second love in life, I've played sports all my life; I've played music all my life. My life is music and sports.
G.P. "Geep" Clark joined DRIvIN' RAIN in 2001 he rolled into his spot ready to break new ground and help move the band forward. Geep is a native of Los Angeles California but now lives in Southern Illinois. Geep is the only member of DRIvIN' RAIN who does not live in Cape Girardeau, he now resides in Southern Illionis. G.P. is a former member of the west coast band with a east coast name New York Rocks (with Tony Matuzak of Lizzy Borden). He later joined DC Tryal and was featured on two independently released CDs. That band had two regional radio hits with "God Is An Alien" and "Angel Wings". G.P.'s influences are Tommy Aldridge, Buddy Rich, Tommy Lee, Johnny Bolin, Vinny Appice, "Wild" Mick Brown, Carmine Appice, Cozy Powell, and Neal Pert. Geep is a power house drummer, and also falls right in on the backup vocals by adding a third part to the mix. G.P. Clark is a veteran rock drummer and brings lots of experience with him.
Besides DRIvIN' RAIN Geep has recorded with Stella Blue Band, New York Rocks, and DC Tryal. He is also a member of Tooth And Nail- A Tribute To DOKKEN.
As a member of Drivin' Rain G.P. has opened for Jim Dandy's BLACK OAK ARKANSAS, SAXON, NAZARETH, EDDIE MONEY, John Kay & STEPPENWOLF, HEAD EAST, PAT TRAVERS, REVIS, RON KEEL & IRONHORSE, CONQUEST, LEE OSKAR (of WAR), NO ONE, HELLBOUND, THE HOLLYWOOD ALLSTARZ, PAT SAVAGE BAND, THE JIMMIE VANZANT BAND, BLIZZARD OF OZ, SHADES OF PURPLE, EL LOCO, DRAW THE LINE, TALK DIRTY, SHADES OF PURPLE, THE TOMMY BOLIN TRIBUTE BAND, and others.
