Citico

old Citico - Hill City String Band

About Me

"Citico sends you back to a time when music was simpler, and honest. With Appalachian mountain flavor and true Tennessee charm, this trio will put a smile on your face and get your toes a tappin.' This is the real deal." - Michael Buffalo Smith, GRITZ Magazine --------------With their carefully crafted, heartfelt renditions, Citico must be making its forebears beam proudly through the heavens. - DIRTY LINEN MAGZINE -------------Citico has performed it's pre-bluegrass, old time style of traditional music at the 2004 Riverbend Festival, The Mountain Makin's Festival, Ocoee River Days, Laurel Theatre, and other venues in the Southeast. Most of Citico's songs are local to the Southeast Tennessee-North Georgia highlands and reflect the fiddle and banjo tunes, ballads, and blues that were heard around Chattanooga one hundred years ago.
