Black Stone

Blackstone was formed in 2003, striving to become Seattle’s premier rock band. The group consists of Dennis Flynn on guitar, Alex Lathum on bass, Brian King on keyboards, and Matt Flynn on drums. Each member of the band has had at least ten years of experience on their respective instruments, including professional instruction. All of the musicians also sing lead vocals and harmonies for the band. The band has written over 30 original songs. Blackstone’s music combines the sounds of classic rock and blues with something new, which creates a very distinct sound. Blackstone’s performances are known for their high energy and showmanship reminiscent of classic rock. The band can perform for up to four hours at a time. Blackstone has performed all around the greater Puget Sound area, including venues such as Cowgirl’s Inc., Studio 7, The Central, El Corazon, The City Hall Saloon in Cumberland, and Jazzbones. At every show, Blackstone astonishes every one in the venue with their performance and style. The band focuses on playing professionally, for the fans, and remembering to have fun because that is what music is all about. This is what makes Blackstone unique from all the other modern bands.
