I like to try new things. However, I get bored with new things quickly and give them up. I've been like that my whole life and am working on following through better, but not very much because I'm lazy. (I've been hard on myself before)
Pink Floyd, The Pixies, The Flaming Lips, Calexico, Lusk, The Melvins, Skeleton Key, The Shins, Mars Volta, STP, The Kinetic Friends, The Lemonheads, Simon and Garfunkel, Mr Bungle, Lovage, Portishead, Neko Case, Iron and Wine, Sunny Day Real Estate, Bobby Darin, Sefton, James. If Mike Patton was involved, I probably love it.
I'm passionate about horror movies!! But not really really gory nasty stuff. NOT impressed with Rob Zombie!
Now that I have cable I still don't watch tv and I haven't kept up on any new tv series; I used to watch Lost, but that whole Wednesday night commitment thing just became too pressuring. I watch series on disc, though, like Arrested Development; I love it!! I watch some cartoons, too, like The Venture Brothers. Just saw some Metalocalypse for the first time, too.
Catch 22 is my all-time favorite book. I also enjoyed these books as well--Slaughterhouse Five, The Timetraveler's Wife, Dracula, Still Life with Woodpecker, Fight Club, Invisible Monsters, Survivor, The Stranger, Ecstacy Club, Lullaby, Wuthering Heights, most Edgar Allan Poe, Pride and Prejudice, The Chronicles of Narnia and Eva Luna. I've also read a few of my Spanish romance novels! They're like any Spanish soap opera compressed into a paperback and I don't think I can take on the rest of them:( I also read one of the several new sequels to Pride and Prejudice. The language was elaborate, The story line decent, but it was still mediocre in comparison to Jane Austen.
I respect people who can make stuff with their hands, and people who are genuinely nice to strangers.
