I'm a very complex character, it's really hard to just sum me up but i guess for now all you need to know about me is that i'm a real laid back individual who just likes to chill and go with the flow, music runs my life, i'm a complete drum 'n' bass head, but would consider myself an overall music enthusiast in general. When its not dnb its usually some electro, old hip hop, deftones, tool, old metallica, deltron, maybe even rock out to some 80's beats every once in a while. I'm always down to meet new heads and would consider myself very social. I got ambitions towards gettin a career in music (as much of a cliche that is i know) whether it be upfront as a dj in the spotlight or a studio engineer behind the scenes making beats that blow your mind. I partially own, manage and do video media for DrumnBassTV.Com and I am a part of Peer Pressure Recordings. Watch out in '08 were bringing big things your way! So Basically I've been doin this dnb thing for about a decade now and i aint stoppin anytime soon. Takin it one day at a time. So check it, I drop a 2 hour live show dubbed "The Resistance" live on DrumnBassTV.com every saturday at 2pm PST or 5pm EST, check it out for some heavy drum n bass sounds!!! and with that i'm out, PEACE!ARTIST BIO:dj Phrenik was born in San Francisco, California in 1982 and grew up in San Diego, California which is where he now resides. Growing up he had a variety of musical influences but mainly enjoyed the sounds of rock/metal and hip hop. He first stepped into the electronic music scene in 1999 when he attended a rave with some high school friends. From the first beat he was hooked, after hearing such dj’s as Dj Dan, Angel Alanis, and Terry mullan he began to feel the sounds of house music and thus heard his calling to learn to grace the decks. It wasn’t too long after this that he had his first exposure to the sounds of dnb after witnessing the skills of a drum ‘n’ bass icon, Andy C. After countless hours of recording demos in the studio and mastering the sound of drum ‘n’ bass on the decks, he developed his own unique style and sound of high energy track selection with tight programming and quick mixing. Soon after, he was picked up for a live weekly radio show by DrumnBassTV.Com, a well known internet radio/video based website. His show, called “The Resistance” quickly became one of the more popular shows on the site with listener rates often peaking and quickly gaining an international audience. His sound eventually caught the ear of an up and coming record label by the name of Peer Pressure Recordings, who quickly picked up dj Phrenik to strengthen their dj arsenal with a high energy, dancefloor DJ. Today almost a decade later since his first step into electronic music, dj Phrenik is coming up fast and strong and is a definite force to be reckoned with. He has been booked with the likes of such arists as Spor, Ewun, Twisted Individual and Alliance to name a few and has graced his skills from coast to coast playing shows from LA and San Diego all the way to Philly.
