Hello and thank you for stopping by.
Musician biography... Well what do we put here? I really dislike speaking about myself and I am somewhat of a private person, but I suppose I should put something down as to not disappoint.
My name is Matthew Beebe; I produce, emcee and deejay under the alias of Soulidify. Music is a passion of mine, a fierce passion to be exact. I involve myself particularly with the genre of Drum & Bass and dabble in some Dubstep, Electro and Hip Hop. A classically trained musician I am not, but I have had extensive training with several instruments, hardware and software programs.
Growing up my musical taste drifted toward funk, jazz, soul and a bit of classic rock. This inevitable drew me into Hip Hop and I submerged myself within the elements. After a late night out with friends we ended up at this rave in LA; it was there that I was first introduced to the sounds of Jungle.
After traveling and promoting events throughout the States I returned home to California and contemplated getting out of the industry and following my career goal of becoming an advertising executive. This was not in the cards for me as I picked up right where I left off. As soon as I touched down in San Diego I began hosting events in San Diego, Orange County, Los Angeles and Riverside counties. Promotions has a tendency to lead you astray... let's just leave it at that.
I have a place in my heart for new artists. Maybe it's their hunger to succeed or it could be their desire to learn, but any which way you slice it I want to see them rise to their full potential. This is one of the reasons, in fact the main reason I started Peer Pressure Recordings.
Currently I am the CEO of Peer Pressure and Sub Pressure Recordings, co-host a weekly radio with my wife Kyle, Social Time on Drum & Bass TV and I am working on a new podcast series entitled Boomcast with DJ Tiny and Hazen of Bassrush.
