Twinkletoe Gypsy of the Future!

About Me

Rachael Good AKA Saejma has been submersed in the Nashville EDM(Electronic Dance Music) scene for over 7 years now. Spending the first several as a listener, lover and dancer, she knows first hand what the people want to hear.
In January of 2001, after graduating high school, Rachael attended Columbia State Community College in Franklin, TN. Double Majoring in Commercial Entertainment and MIDI, she studied commercial theater, singing, and all types of dance. She at the same time began to dabble in MOTU's Digital Performer. Quickly realizing that this wasn’t the place for her, she stopped attending school full time and began taking core classes sparingly, allowing her time to focus not only on making the music, but the time to dive deep into the dimension and culture of the sound she loves.

Growing up, both of Rachael’s have made their livings in the Entertainment Business. Her mother is a Grammy nominated songwriter, and her father holds a Masters degree in Music. He’s played with the likes of Elvis and the Nashville Symphony, and is Nashville’s undisputed King of the Trombone.

It was only so long before her deep seeded musical roots grew too big for the observation tank. She needed to make music. Rachael began learning Reason and Acid Pro on other people’s computers. "I remember banging on different front doors at 7 O'clock in the morning, so I could put ideas down when I had the itch. Having my own set up is much more condusive to me having friends," she says.

Eventually, the fun of the party wore off and Rachael moved to Huntsville to live with Boyfriend/Producer Lee Rogers. There she attended community college for core classes and through Lee, learned Ableton Live among techniques for synthesizing, EQing, and processing sound. “Ableton allows me to express myself,” says Rachael. “It’s completely user friendly and everything is where you’d expect it to be, it doesn’t interrupt the creative flow.”

Changes and Heartache eventually led Rachael on her own to Atlanta and was there introduced to The Art Institute. “It fit me,” she says. “I love being surrounded by creative people, and this way all types of artistic mediums can network and help each other!” Rachael is currently enrolled in school at the Art Institute of Nashville as an Audio Production student and is having a lot of fun. After getting a Bachelor’s degree, Rachael hopes to head out west to get her Masters in film, her eyes are set on putting to use the many talents she has acquired over the years. She continues to support Electronic Dance music in Nashville with a focus on Drum and motherfucking Bass. She smiles and says, “I think big things are about to happen involving Drum and Bass in this country. So far, we have mainly seen Drum and Bass in video game and car Commercials in the U.S., but In England, it’s now being played on mainstream radio during the day! Pendulum (a worldwide known dnb producer) just got signed to Virgin Records over here in the States. That’s a pretty big deal for us. A whole new world is about to be opened up, and not just with Drum and Bass. Technology is INSANE and fun and awesome. It makes me so happy that I want to Pee!”
Just listen!
