Recently I have started writing chronicles about my adventure that took me from Oliver, British Colombia, Canada, to Buenos Aires, Argentina, via the USA and Mexico.. Hitchhiking alone with my dog we left Canada with 1.50$ and crossed the border on foot, trying to get as south as possible. My goal of reaching Argentina by Christmas 2007 was met, with a lot of luck. These stories were left out of my blog for the most part and they mean a lot to me. I hope you enjoy them too! So go have a look, and tell me what you think.http://www.startbackpacking.com/1-chroniques.html adventures in hitchhiking: the chronicles
Here are some things that people have had to say..."Well written; touching and evocative"
"I thought I lived on the edge when I was young but didn't have the courage for anything like this!"
"The author has a lovely, natural way of expressing herself.. I literally gobbled it up. It is fascinating reading."
"Reminds me of the Jack Kerouac novels that I so loved in high school. Not many people in the 1st class world wake up not knowing where their next meal will come from or how far they will they have to walk that day. It's a hard life but the author must really appreciate all the things we Northamericans take for granted every day. When you live like that even the smallest things like a beer, cigarette, hot meal or a warm bed can become things of great pleasures that most of us sadly take for granted. "
"I was almost angry when I got to the bottom of the page and saw there was nothing left to read, I had already gotten into it like a novel! It makes me feel like I'm in the author's head the entire time, I see what she sees."
"A very talented and gifted writer with no fear of the unknown... Excitement, challenges, courage, intelligence and hard work make her journey fullfilling."
"The author has a to the point, bold style with a natural flow that follows her train of thought."
