About Me

These will all begin with "I" and are in no particular order.... I read more than most humans- mostly about everything that has happened on the earth until now. I have a car- it has two wheels and most people call it a scooter. I like to make music. I fix everything in my spare time. I enjoy finding the romance in everyday things. I check myspace many times during work to see if anyone left me comments. I love getting comments. I am "into" sailing, flying and riding motorcycles. I have the best friends- yes better than yours- many of them are scattered over the globe, some are here in Chicago. I am from Iowa. I pine over women associated with theater and literature. In fact, I'm pining over one right now. I used to be really into cars. I have no time for cars. I don't usually begin sentences with "I". I don't EVER go west of Western. I have a close relationship with Lake Michigan. I like my parents. I don't have any pets but my roomate has a dog, a cat and a kitten. They rock.

My Interests

Skiing, tennis, blading, beach volleyball, ping pong (nerds call that "table tennis"), basketball, pool, architecture, reading, history, philosophy, religion, Apple computers, automechanics, motorcycles and scooters, The Internet, electronic gizmos, espresso bars, reading more, playing drums, piano, and guitar, singing (like Harry Connick Jr). I love traveling, live music and smart conversation.

I'd like to meet:

In this order- Natalie Portman (cause she'll LOVE me), Johnny Dep, Johnny Greenwood, Jon Stewart, Matt Stone and Trey Parker. Can I meet dead writers? I doubt it but Samual Clemens and I would get along just grand.

Radiohead, Bjork, Beck, Danny Elfman, Fiona Apple, Public Enemy, The Beatles, Morcheeba, Lamb, Portishead, Massive Attack, Damien Rice, Beastie Boys, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Thomas Newman, Brad Meldau, Tori Amos, NIN, old Metallica, Madonna, Prince (yes I'm 32) Harry Connick Jr, Smashing Pumpkins, Pink Floyd and lots of movie sountracks.

Movies:

Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Dead Poets Society, The Big Lebowski, Closer, V for Vendetta, (lets just say anything with Natalie in it since she became of legal age), Good Will Hunting, Amelie, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Syriana, Swingers, Office Space, The Matrix, The Lord of the Rings, The Incredibles, Finding Nemo, Pulp Fiction, South Park, Team America World Police, Pi, Best in Show, Goonies, Aliens, and yes I liked the Titanic too so bite me.

Television:

History Channel, Nova, Aqua Tean Hunger Force, South Park, The West Wing and Lost. That's it. Seriously. If it's not one of those I won't turn the TV on.

Books:

Friedrich Nietzsche, David Hume, Robert Pirsig, Howard Bloom, Samuel Clemens, JD Salinger, Sylvia Plath, Kurt Vonnegut, Ayn Rand, Stephen King (seriously), Karen Armstrong, Karl Jung, Howard Zinn, Noam Chomsky, Virginia Woolf, Charles Darwin and Toni Morrison even though she writes some seriously fucked up shit or maybe because she does.
