Besides music (which takes up most of my time), I love movies, books, travel, hanging with my friends, cooking gourmet vegan delights, and helping people whenever possible. I really dig listening to new music by talented artists like this one, Roger Joseph Manning, Jr.:
Cool people of all stripes and colors, faiths and backgrounds, shapes and sizes!I edited my profile at Freeweblayouts.net , check out these Myspace Layouts!
WAY too many influences to list. I became a musician because of my sister's record collection, which was the Beatles, Beach Boys, Steve Martin and the Rocky Horror Picture Show soundtrack. From there I became a classical pianist and have loved everything from Mozart to Motown to Metallica and everything in between! Kevin Gilbert is my all-time favorite songwriter. So prodigiously talented, so lamentably missed.
I like a blockbuster as much as the next guy (this newest Batman was definitely the best and darkest) but I also love offbeat films (Happiness, Safe Men, Brother From Another Planet, any of these ringing bells?). Sin City was a recent fave. There is this one part of a movie called Brown Bunny......
The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, the Sarah Silverman show, Scrubs, My Name is Earl, Grey's Anatomy with Jaime, Heroes (LOVE IT!!!!), Big Love, Da Ali G. Show, Family Guy, South Park, Simpsons, and (time to dork out) Quantum Leap, Greatest American Hero (now out on DVD, LOVE IT!), and a certain WB superhero show that I can't bring myself to admit to loving.
Stephen R. Donaldson. Douglas Adams. Robert Heinlen, Piers Anthony, Orson Scott Card, books on spirituality (non-denominational) and awakening the power of the soul/mind, the Four Agreements is something given to me by a friend that I'm checking out......
ERIC MEANY - a true survivor made of tougher stuff than I, Kevin Gilbert (R.I.P.), Rick Wakeman, Wolfy Mo', John I. Garside III (R.I.P - you showed me the funny), Roger Hunt (DP warrior, mentor and soul brutha) Buddha, Ghandi, Martin L.K., John Lennon, Jason Faulkner, Owsley, Brian Finley (R.I.P - you changed my life forever). ANYONE WHO EVER CARED ENOUGH TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE: YOU ARE MY HEROES.
