Singer, Songwriter, and Worship Leader Kelvin R. Pitts realized early in life that he had a special musical gift. At the age of five, he began singing in the church choir at Old Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in his home town of Conyers, Georgia. Kelvin’s love for music did not stop with singing, as he matured he was given the position of choir director and took on many leadership roles in the music department at his church. He quotes, “The things that have remained consistent with me all of my life are my love for music, singing and God’s church.†In 1997, Kelvin attended the State University of West Georgia where he received a degree in Business Management. However, he continued to express his love for music by becoming a pillar member of The United Voices Gospel Choir. In 2000, he took on the role as President of the choir and assumed the duties of teaching parts, selecting songs, and conducting choir concerts.Kelvin’s musical influences range from gospel great Daryl Coley to Christian artist Michael W. Smith. His love and passion for music has afforded him the opportunity to sing background for such artists as Daryl Coley, Israel Houghton & New Breed, Micah Stampley, Claudius Craig & Loose The Familiar, Sha’ Simpson, Keshia McFarland, and Adrian Sawyer & Accepting Christ Truthfully. During his time in Malawi, he traveled to several churches in the area leading worship services and conducting worship seminars. In December 2007, he also traveled to Italy, Europe for a three week gospel singing tour with the group Positive Minds for Christ.Presently Kelvin serves as a Worship Leader for Total Grace Christian Center World Headquarters. He has an undeniable passion for worship and entertaining the presence of God through song. This passion has led him to pursue an Associate of Worship Arts degree from the Worship Arts Conservatory in California. His desire as a minister of music is to “spread the word of God through song, help people experience His fullness, take them beyond the veil and into the throne room where their lives will be significantly changed by being in the presence of God.â€
