About Jovan? Well I can say Ive been addicted to myspace waaay longer than anyone should be without having set up an actual account LOL... I was born in New York City on November 27, 1980 and moved to Atlanta when I was like 12 or 13 (somewhere around there) and began singing at 14. I remember I sang my first solo in a J.R. High School talent show, completely on a dare (Well actually it was a Double DOG Dare-so you KNOW I had to do it). Now you wanna talk about NERVE WRECKING But I did it, and I can still remember hearing my Mommas voice scream out in surprise WHAT?! lol. Well the word got back to my church (Thanks Ma) and it was all over from there, Ive been singing ever since. I have sung in the prisons, the parks, the malls, the street corners, the homeless shelters, the back wood churches all the way over to theater houses, jammed pack stadiums, massive convention centers and anywhere else that someone needed to hear about Jesus.Over the years, I have had the opportunity to share the ministry with, sing for and or record with some awesome singers such as Beverly Crawford, Daryl Coley, Byron Cage, Kenny Rogers, BeBe Winans, Donnie McClurkin, Kim Burrell hmmm, who else? Natalie Wilson, the legendary Hawkins family (And I mean err last one of them at one point or another..LOL) Micah Stampley and whole bunch of others that Ill probably remember later. But you know what? Really, if you have spent more than 2 days in New York, Atlanta or California and can hold half a note than we ALL have sung with somebody at some point, Right? Anyhoo, in January 2004 I moved from Atlanta, G.A. to Oakland, C.A.(Yay-E-Yayee!) and I can now be found leading worship on Sunday mornings at Love Center Ministries where Bishop Walter L. Hawkins is pastor.I try to live my life as stress free and jammed back with as much laughter as possible. I try to be the best son, brother, friend and Man of God I can be.
