Amina Bryant was born mid eighties, the youngest of 6 children in the heart of south London to Jamaican and English/Irish parents. Coming from a musical family Amina’s influenced ranged from reggae, soul and jazz. By 16 her passion and talent for music had grown and she began to develop her singing and song-writing abilities.
Being involved in a number of group projects, provided her with much experience in writing, recording music and performing at top London clubs like the former 10 Rooms and Ocean to large outdoor events such as Burgess park to a crowd of several thousand people. After sometime Amina naturally moved into a solo position and began to focus on her own material.
The last six years has given the opportunity for Amina to develop her talent as a singer/songwriter and producer as well as invaluable experience in the music industry. Her sound is a mixture of influences which reflect her personality environment and experience.
All material is written and co-produced by Amina it encompasses a thoughtful and imaginative blend of genres from Indie to 70’s funk but centres around a Pop/Rock production with a youthful style and infectious hooks. Her honest exploration of emotional insecurities and feisty charm invites you in to the fascinating and endearing world of a truly diverse new artist.
