3 of the apocalypse is the joint live laboratory from Moscow. In august year 2006 three independent russian electronic musicians: Dmitri Polikarpov (STROPHARIA ), Pavel Mikhailov (Zuboff Sex Shop ) and Andrey Gratchev (NEIZVESTNOST ) gathered at Stropharia studio and recorded a live album 'Nauch Pop la Presenta'. The name of the project was inspired by Lucio Fulci's exclusive western 'Four of the apocalypse'.
The mixture of hypnotic breakbeat grooves and techno-shamanic minimalism represent the autentic Moscow style and mood. Every member of this experiment has his own sound and history- together they try to express far out alchemic and existential. Urban revolution, apocalypse meditation, mushroom manifestations, spiritual revival, space communism, mystical ; trance and intelligent futuristic ritual- all these expressions might describe the contense of the project.
3 of the apocalypse play scientific and psychedelic atmosphere by means of various rhythm boxes and synths in real time. In September 2006 an independent ukrainian label 'Eccentric"Eccentric ectoplasm discordings' released and sold out the album in a very short time. Later on musicians decided to begin working on new material, sound and experience. 'Sometimes it seems that we have already passed the day when the modern world was over. So what to do is your personal choice. We are protecting the choice to be what we used to be many thousand years ago!'
3 of the apocalypse is moving forward to meeting those who are ready to feel the breeze of the beyound wherever they come from, whatever they dream to be and whoever they think they are!
