About Me

And please be patient while I figure out a few of these script booboos on my profile. Grr.
Also, if you wish to Friend me, please send me a message first. I hate Friend-whores and bots.
Generic info that I'll allow you to have: late-30's technical professional working in Video and Lighting in the Television News industry. Seperated,, former swinger and porn cameraman. I'm not looking to cyber with you. Well, I don't think I am. But I'd be glad to watch you have sex.
I am a being in flux. Using the Runes as a framework for my journey through life I have reached HAGALAZ:
HAGALAZ
Divinitory meaning: sudden loss; ordeal; destruction; disaster; clearance; testing; karmic lesson; drastic change
Magical uses: removing unwanted influences; breaking destructive patterns
A deeply meaningful rune, Hagalaz is the death of the old that creates the new. It lies between the fire of Kenaz and the ice of Isa. This is the Norse creation myth embodied. It is also the gateway rune to the 2nd runic group, or aett. Whather it's destruction aspect is good or ill is purely subjective.
I no longer stand upon the precepice, but have cast myself over the edge with eyes open. My old life has fallen into the flame; what will be conjured by it's sacrifice? What will be revealed when this cycle ends cannot be known, but the ordeal through which I must go to meet the future will leave it's imprint on me. Although I dread the process itself, I take hope that something awaits on the other side.
At this point I am very wary about relying on anyone else, because it seems very few people around me are making sensible decisions at critical moments. I feel now that I am safest with my destiny firmly under my own control, and am working towards that as one of my goals. Deeds speak louder than words for me; I am uninterested in what you say if you cannot back up your ideals with actions. I am reserved in my interactions with others now, for I have received no mercy, and so, I'll be giving none back. Keeping that in mind I have decided to avoid such issues where possible rather than encouraging a fertile ground for conflict; note though that I have no qualms about arguing on the internet. :) The escalation here is easily controllable and cannot move to anything worse than a flame war; I feel this is wise, because Revenge is the best sushi I've ever had.
I prefer to think I am sharp-minded, but perhaps that's just hubris; well, wait.. given all I've seen of people on the web, nah, I'm pretty sure I'm sharp-minded. With a single or very small exception, I hate kids. And people who constantly drop them out into the world, and believe that everyone else should think theirs is adorable. They're not. They suck. Keep them the hell away from me, and we'll all be fine
I prefer animals over people under most conditions, and women over any other variant of humanoid in terms of sex [for you cretins, that means I'm straight]. I might add more later.
I am a Heathen, which is to say, the Gods of the North are my gods. I live as I must, and don't require forgiveness for my mistakes, for there is none to be had and none being sought. The lore of my ancestors shows me the way; wise words for a new age of reconstruction.
The Nine Noble Virtues [A modern distillation of Nordic ideals from our lore]
9 NOBLE VIRTUES
OF ASATRU
COURAGE
By facing Life's struggles with courage, we constantly extend our capabilities. Courage is the manifestation of your own faith in yourself. Without courage, nothing else can be done!
TRUTH
Blind faith has no place in Asatru. No pie-in-the-sky; we must act in this world as we see it and as it really is rather than calmly wait for what comes after. Also, Truth amongst each other is the basis for trust, love, and friendship. No real human bond can be formed without Truth.
HONOR
We must be true to what we are, and we insist on acting with nobility rather than baseness. Our standards must be banners held high in our hearts. Honor shows one's ability to sacrifice for others at the expense of the self, and it shines when one gives their word, and sticks to it, even [and especially] when not upholding it will be easier. Too many folks today believe Honor is convenient, transient, and malleable. The Asatruar knows this is false!
FIDELITY
We stand true to our faith and our values. Loyalty is the basis for all enduring human activity, and we hold it in the highest esteem. It is the culmination of Truth and Honor between [wo]men..
HOSPITALITY
The isolation and loneliness of modern life is not necessary. The willingness to share what one has with ones' fellows, especially travelers, is a vital part of our way of life. To offer of your bounty to those who need, yields high praise and gives weal to others in the Web of Wyrd. And keeping a home that tells you are a good person, cannot shine for you if you do not allow others under the protection of its roof.
DISCIPLINE
We hold to the discipline necessary to fulfill our purpose. We stand willing to exercise the self-control and steadfastness necessary in these difficult times. To face what one must when the moment of truth is upon you, to not waver, even if the odds are against you... brings glory.
INDUSTRIOUSNESS
Let us dare to be all that we can be! Let us take risks and taste the richness of life. Action yields results, or if we fail, lessons to be learned to defeat failure when we try anew. There's time for revelry, but it is the reward one earns by being a useful person. Passivity is for sheep. We refuse to be mere spectators in life.
SELF-RELIANCE
We depend on our own strength and character to achieve our goals. We seek only the freedom necessary to our quest, whatever it may be. There is no-one to do what must be done, but yourself. Fate is too valuable to hand off because you can't be bothered. Shape it to your will!
PERSEVERANCE
We hold to our path until its completion and are not ashamed to be strong. The cult of the anti-hero will find no support in us, and the gods we follow are not for the weak. Life is a journey, not a destination, and nothing is learned by standing in place. Setbacks are lessons, which refine you, and their lessons are worthless if they are left unapplied. To apply, you must strive!
I'm also a member of the Church of the Subgenius, one of the most enjoyable ungodly [or toomanygodly] bunch of folks in, well.. ever.

I'd like to meet:

The contractor who wrecked my home, and stole $40,000 from me; in a dark alley; and I have a knife.
I also wouldn't mind meeting you, as long as you're not an ignorant Bible-thumper who believes he was THE TRUTHH!!!!zomg!!, on this forum at PaganMystics, a new but relatively interesting spirituality website. Check it out.

Music:

Most music played today is unmitigated crap. When 'bands' became 'entertainers', all life went out of the music industry.I still listen to the music of my youth: rock and new wave from the 70's to the mid-90's. And classical; I love it, in nearly all it's forms. Also a smattering of stuff from other genre's; I'm pretty picky. Techno and rave-type music, live DJ mixes. My current replays in the car include Manowar and Corvus Corax. Fuckin rock on.I'm actually a classically trained singer, and can provide alto, tenor, or bass. It was long ago though, so I cannot read music anymore. But I still sing in the truck, and am constantly whistling tunes..

Movies:

As a film student, I was taught to be very critical of film and TV, and still am today. I think for example that Conan the Barbarian was a great movie. Oh, shut up.

Many action movies are among the things I love. Something where some sonuvabitch who really deserves it gets killed at the end by the Good Guy; those are good flicks for me to watch. Depressing movies get me depressed, or disgusted, based on how much interest the story generated in me. Love movies make me scoff; dramas tend to fit in the 'depressing' category and I do fine on my own, thank you. Bah, my taste is diverse and uneven, and my list of faves is.... too long to list.

Oh yes, given my background, I love pornography. As long as penises don't touch, and there's no poop or midgets involved, well, I'm probably happy to watch it with you. What have you got?

Television:

I work in television, so I don't really watch much of it. I enjoy alot of the usual HBO series, checking out some cartoon network, Discovery channel, Food TV, stuff like that.

Books:

Scifi and fantasy are my meat and potatos. Though as I am with film, I am dreadfully critical, and my list is too long to put down here. If we were to meet in person, then, I'd bother going over such things.

Heroes:

I don't have any. But I play one on Pinnacle. Global@Dark Harrier. If you don't know what that means, don't worry about it then.
