i wannabe someone else i crave a way everyday

About Me

I hated living in the UK, it's such a backward country-though in all fairness i guess all places have their double standards and down sides... I used to believe in Socialism, now I don't because it makes people lazy and think the world is owe them something. I'm working on getting away from here, but guess it'll take time.
I wanted to become a genetic consultant.
I like to read, and learn, and travel.
I have a son with an undiagnosed disability which presents similar but isn't A-typical to CP.
I love music, and rock is def my favourite genre, along with some metal. I like some folky stuff too, when i wanna chill, and celtic and tribal music is also good for a relaxation factor. Infact, i think there is probably stuff in every genre that i like.
Most of the above is from a life I've been beginning to forget... I got out of the UK finally on the 26th of July 2006 following a panic that gave me the guts to make a leap of faith to begin another chapter to my life, in Ireland where I am currently. I think I've grown up a lot since i wrote that (which is in normal font above this) - tho alot of my views remain unchanged. I have forgotten most of what I knew in the field of web building - it's not completely gone, but it's hard to whip it off the top of my head like i used to...
I am absolutely delighted with Ireland's lack of support for people who care for a disabled child... It feels like if i turn looking round at my 360 degrees panoramic view of where I am, there as massive granite boulders blocking a way forward, and all i have in the way of support is a plastic picnic spoon to dig a way out of! It has me split between wanting to fight the losing battle to have the right to have a life seperate from being my son's sole care giver, and accepting that this is how things are, so I stop feeling bitter about chasing things that would be easily attainable careerwise for me, if only I didn't have a disabled child that no one in childcare spheres will look after after school for a few hours so I can attend college and better our situation financially and quality of life-wise...
I've resurrected my dream for a career in a genetics field, whether it be in medicine, forensics, or research I've yet to decide fully, all have perks I'd love to be involved in.
Forget the charity ideas, if I can not attain childcare so I can attend college, how can I attain childcare to start up a limited company charity organisation?! I just havent the energy.
That said, I need something for me. It feels like being in jail, having the exact same mind numbing routine every week, no breaks, no socialising outside those damn same 4 walls, people unable to understand why it makes me feel it's a lot to shoulder on my own, and shunning me for not getting a grip... Ya, all that and a bag of chips!
