The Insight are a four-piece Rock (or Indie in the true sense of the word!) band who came about when four lads from all over the country (Luke - Sunderland, Mick - Watford, Nord - Stoke-on-Trent and Dan - Bedford) met at Uni in Sept 2006. After realising they all had so much in common, a few months of alcohol-fuelled carnage and hangovers down the line, the lads, sharing a similar taste (The Smiths, Joy Division, Factory Records, Oasis etc etc), decided to get together and play some music. In November 07 after months of jamming and all that in Dan’s bedroom, the lads knew it was the right thing to take things a little more seriously...
Four months down the road, and The Insight find themselves playing gigs regularly across Derby and the Midlands. Often being likened to great bands such as The Smiths, Interpol, The Coral and The Libertines, the Insight have also been credited with having their ‘own’ fresh exciting sound. With their dance-influenced bass lines, intense and funky stop-start drum rhythms, charming chorus melodies and enthralling guitar work, the Insight fuse together all the best things about Indie/Rock music in the last 30 years.
The Insight are delighted to say they have now finished recording their debut EP, entitled Tripping On Egos. This EP features all the best loved tunes including ‘Tripping On Egos‘, ‘Did You Keep The Receipt?’, and ‘(Not The Only One) Running Away’, which are all also available on this page.
