Welcome to the Dub:rek Studios page. We have been operating as a commercial studio and rehearsal rooms since 2002. Some of the artists who have recorded with us are listed over the page; many of these recordings have gone on to become commercially available, featured in the music press, and have been broadcast on Radio 1 etc.
We specialise in BANDS. The studio consists of a 600sq.ft live room, plus dead space, vocal booth and control room with seating. There is also a kitchen, and now fully functioning shop, selling drinks and snacks, aswell as strings, plectrums, drumsticks, and effects pedals (coming soon).
We can utilise our space to create a big live sound or provide a more controlled enviroment in our dead rooms; this plus an atmosphere of experimentation where anything goes is what we aim for in a session. Having great front end (amps, mics), the right space, correct mic placement and a decent set of ears count for more than any amount of processing power which is why Dubrek is about capturing great performance and ideas rather than 'fixing it in the mix'.
REHEARSAL
There are hourly rate rooms available from 11am to 11pm, 7 days per week. Each room includes two guitar amps, bass amp, drum kit and 1kW PA system AT NO EXTRA COST. If you need guitar cabs we have several Marshall 4x12s available free of charge. You can also request as many mics and stands as you need....
