Festercyst was the last name of my epic bedroom grind escapades before the birth of Black Pathology. The tracks I have for Festercyst were used in various compilations and online split downloads. There was one official cdr DIY split released with Mangled Whore Flesh. Festercyst appeared on In Gore We Grind Vol. 1, The Shit/Gore 6-way split on Vomitbakery Records, The original DIY version of "IGWG Vol. 2" and the Digital Brainfuck Drum Machine Compilation as well.
The self released material includes:
2005: "Soggy Coffins..." (demo)
2006: "Aesthetically Compromising Surgical Butchery" (demo)
2007: Festercyst & Skeletal Dysgenesis split

As for all the imagery for Festercyst; it's all me. I used most imagery from a book that I own entitled: "The Encyclopaedea Anatomica". It's a wonderfully colorful book of anatomy. A great source for "gore" collages. I also drew both logos in my sketch book and just photo-shopped them to look nice.
For some of the earlier works and release ideas, I fully illustrated a the cover concepts. One in particular was a corpse smiling while disemboweling itself. I was proud of it. Just simple No 2 pencil and notebook paper (photo-shopped of course). For the first demo "Soggy Coffins...", I used images from the Scary Stories to tell in the dark book. The cover was the illustration for the story "Give it Back" and the back was the illustration for "Cold as Clay".
That's just a history of the art of Festercyst and the artist behind it.
