I am basically focused on school work and music. (I Got Money on my Mind) My family is really into music singing and producing so all my artists get at me on that. Nowadays everybody is a rapper trying to imitate what the see on television or hear on the radio but nobody is being themselves. The rap game has been bombarded by fake people who dont relate to the real world. That is what makes the CliftonBoyz two of the brightest, creative and entertaining artists to hit the scene. The CliftonBoyz consists of IkeStaten (Isaiah Bennett) and T.H.D (Ian Bennett) who are actually brothers. At the ages of 20 and 18 they have an exceptional understanding of the world. This is mostly in part to their close relationships to the streets of Staten Island and with their parents who kept them from slipping too far into the streets. Also the fact that they are both college students allows them to speak about something different then just the everyday struggle of the hood. This understanding is definitely displayed in their music. There is no particular way to describe their music except for Real Talk. Their debut mixtape The Unforgotten Borough Vol. 1 is already being called a hood classic on the underground. Shoalin anthems such as S.I.N.Y, On My SI Sh** and Neck of the Woods show their loyalty and respect for their borough while they show their arrogant sides on the lead single Get It Like That. They then talk to the Ladies on the track Lets Get Away, where their third brother (Big Sef) serenades the ladies on the beautifully sang hook. They tear the club up with the crunk-ish banger Fall Back and playfully address the overly aggressive fake tuff guys on They Just Dont Like Girls. That is only a brief description of 7 of the 18 tracks on the Mixtape and a small example of how versatile the CliftonBoyz are musically. The CliftonBoyz proclaim They do it for the Borough, meaning their primary objective is bringing Staten Island back to the limelight in the music industry which they are definitely capable of doing being they have the hustle and work ethic of 5 year veterans at such a young age.I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
