About Me
FRANTIC! came together during the summer of 06.Jed had been working with long time mate, Tony on some new tracks and re-recording some older material in Jeds small Attic Studio, the duo were looking for a singer and bass player to complete the sound.Uploading some of the finished material to a karaoke site, without words or melody, they waited for someone to have a go at putting words and a voice to the tracks, they didn't have to wait long......In fact, Jed doesn't think the first track was up 24 hours before it had been reposted, complete with words, melody and a voice! Graham had added the finishing touch to the first of 3 tracks and yeilding 'PIT STOP' in the process. And a few days later all three tracks had a voice! After several casual internet chats, finding that Graham came from Liverpool whilst Jed and Tony hailed from Manchester, the three agreed to meet up at Grahams house. The event had drawn a lot of exposure from the karaoke site, with members following the story and wishing the band success, they met and wrote their first true colaboration, 'AMERICAN FLAGS' the trio now needed a bass player......Jed had met someone the previous xmas, his Neice's boyfreind, who had virtually locked him in the bedroom, whilst he played Metallica bass lines at him, upon hearing Jed was a drummer! Jed gave young Nat a call, finding that Nat was indeed between bands and very 'up' for jamming with Jed, let alone actually forming a band together. The four met at 'The Cheshire ring' public house in Hyde, Greater Manchester, this was to be the FRANTIC! home for the next six months, they worked up an impressive setlist, mostly original material with a smattering of covers, once ready they played their first gig, 'Headlining' at the Witchwood in Ashton-under-Lyne.Since then, the band went on hiatus, whilst Jed moved from Manchester to Peterborough and set up his recording studio, 'Cherry Tree'
Tony and Graham continued writing excellent material and Nat moved on with his love life!!!Anyway, after jamming together at Jeds birthday bash in August, Tony and Jed got to talking about FRANTIC! and how the band really should get back together, back to doing what it does best...........Writing, recording and playing the best ROCK music you ever heard!!!!At the time of writing FRANTIC! are in the studio, recording a four track EP that will be available to download at itunes/Napster/Yahoo etc.
