About Me

As I was born in a family of musicians, I started playing the piano at the age of 5. In primary school I won several awards for folk singing. Later I studied classical singing for six years. Recently I’m studying jazz at the Budai Művészképző (Buda Arts Education Centre).
In 2005 my band, HeuRéka won first place at the Kaleidoszkóp international festival in the poem melodizing category. In 2006 as a singer and guitarist I joined the band of my parents, the Folton Folk, who play country and folk music.
Currently I’m the singer of Live Act Folk Project. The project is formed by four young musicians who play a unique combination of folk songs, hip-hop, jazz and electronic music supported by beatbox, guitar and bass. Our live concerts are accompanied by the show of three excellent dancers who perform a modernized version of traditional folk dance.
Having won an application that I submitted to the Hungarian Cultural Institute in Paris, we represented Hungary on 21 June, 2007 by a very successful concert in Paris at the music festival ‘Fete de la Musique’. We had been chosen from among 127 applicants to be included into a group of three bands who had the opportunity to travel to Paris.
With this formation, we gained third place at the talent contest “Ki-Látó” in the world music category. The contest was organized by the Fonó Budai Zeneház, the most famous community place in Hungary for people who enjoy listening to folk music, jazz, ethno-jazz or world music.
