The Hollow Axe is an acoustic project comprised of Dan Turgeon and Brian Dorn . While recording some demos for Lost Pages, a discussion of an acoustic album came up. We both had wanted to do an entirely acoustic album for some time, and the energy felt right, so we went with it. Every song is recorded with a live vibe, and many of the recordings are from the very first time playing through a song. It makes for some tracks that might not be the tightest performances ever, but they have a certain magic to them.
