About Me

..
The Blue Demons' present: Mysterion, Wolfman, The Blue Angel, the Von Dratz, The Lorrainas and THE BLUE DEMONS in Blue Angel's Revenge by To Be Scene productions

My Interests

universal monsters, rock 'n' roll, guitars, funny stuff, cartoons, comic books, campy halloweeny stuff, mythology, superheroes and wrestling -- all the high minded interests -- folklore, cryptozoology -- oh and karagiozi and hatziabati greek shadow puppet theatre. It was kind of like south park for hash house patrons in the 1800s. Oh, and writing crazy song lyrics. Oh, and Salvador Dali is my favourite painter, but I like Renoir's stuff too. Oh, and Lawren Harris, with his cartoony ice and snowy mountain stuff, of course.

Music:

WAY too many bands to list. All sorts of local indie acts and indie acts in the states. Garage rock. Rockabilly/50s rock, Classic rock, hard rock, Heavy metal, punk, country/western, bob marley, blues, motown, 60s girly stuff.LOVE BUDDY HOLLY!! AC/DC, RAMONES, OLD ROLLING STONES, Creedence (John Fogerty's wail is awesome) LED ZEP, SEX PISTOLS, OLD GNR, HENDRIX, THE WHO, iggy and the stooges, the sonics, screamin' jay hawkins, KISS, IRON MAIDEN. VERUCA SALT, HOLE, GARBAGE, NASHVILLE PUSSY. The Byrds, Ravi Shankar. OZZY, SABBATH, HANK SR., MC5, The Cramps, Neko Case, actually patty loveless is awesome too (when she's not "trying to think about elvis" Rick james, Sly stone, celtic musicsome new wave stuff too, actually. the donnas... oh, man, too many to name!! and lindi put out a great album and she's on here... the mighty blue demons!! the von drats!!

Movies:

Eisenstein movies are great. Especially battleship potemkin and alexander nevski but i like the ivan the terrible stuff too (NOT SO MUCH STRIKE though).UNIVERSAL MONSTER MOVIES! KING KONG!Ladies and gentlemen, the fabulous stains!!STAR WARS.GANDHI.THE 10 COMMANDMENTS. YOU KNOW MOSES' WIFE WAS LILY MUNSTER?michael moore stuffAMELIEJackie chan stuff.shadow of the vampire. The Leningrad cowboys go America and Highway 61 -- for some reason, any road movie with a body strapped to the roof of a car is good. The party (birdie num nums!)MONTY PYTHON.The GREAT ESCAPE.COTTON CLUB.satirical films.RUSHMORE. Pecker.wizard of oz, x-men series, CLERKS, mallrats, DAZED AND CONFUSED, that thing you do, SPINAL TAP, dropdead gorgeous, life of brian, mortal kombat (the first one), love at first bite, leaving las vegas, 16 candles, man on the moon, a summer in la goulette, WAITING FOR GUFFMAN, gangs of ny, lotr, THE BUDDY HOLLY STORY, American Hotwax, marx bros., some like it hot, grumpy old men series, in the line of fire, CLASH OF THE TITANS, ABBOT AND COSTELLO MEET FRANKENSTEIN, YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN, ED WOOD and other tim burton stuff AND OF COURSE MAD MONSTER PARTY!! WHOO HOO!Also, in high school my buddy and i used to rent silly comedies like AIRPLANE, naked gun, uhf, hollywood shuffle, history of the world part i, cheech and chongs the corsican bros and yellow beard.

Television:

That 70s show, Hilarious House of Frightenstein, the Simpsons, South Park, Chappelle's show, Ali G., Beevis and Butthead, King of the Hill, The old X-men cartoons (what a hottie Rogue was with that southern accent and big head of skunk hair!), Justice League, wrestling, The Munsters, Saturday Night Live (especially those awesome cartoon segments!), MAD TV, News Radio, Just Shoot me, The Flintstones, Dark Shadows (I hear they're re-making it! WHOO HOO!), The Muppet Show, Kids in the Hall, Ultimate collectors, the old Batman series, AB FAB, NEXT GENERATION, DEEP SPACE 9, xena, happy days, FAWLTY TOWERS, will and grace, warner bros cartoons, LITTLE RASCALS, GILLIGAN'S ISLAND (SKIPPER, I'M A VAMPIRE!), WKRP in cincinatti featured scum of the earth, which was a precursor to Spinal Tap. Lots of stuff on history television is good too. karagiosi and hatziabati shadow puppet shows were good when i was in greece watching them on tv. Oh, how could i forget the smurfs -- and Spidey and his Amazing Friends!! and scooby doo for all the spooky stuff. Ah, and before she passed away, my grandmother (who had awesome taste in television) used to watch one life to live every day. I would sit and watch it with her, so now it's my vital daily ritual to watch it whenever i can. it's actually a hoot. I love it and i usually just DON"T care for soap operas at all. it's different. I feel like I"m watching it with her. Of course, the downside of it is that when Melissa Archer as natalie comes on the screen... I start drooling and howling at the screen. The real wolfman comes out!! And I don't know if I want to know what grandma thinks when she looks down at me getting like that... My Family is hilarious too -- the british series. Grandma watched that too; that and the simpsons, that 70s show and everybody loves raymond. i howl for donna on that 70s show too. I have difficulty leaving the house if it's on. It's too funny.

Books:

Pretty much most of Russian literature: Tolstoy, dostoyevsky, Gogol, Turgenev, Saltykov-Shchedrin,Poe, Shakespeare!! Lorraine Hansberrys a raisin in the sun is brilliant and highly under-rated (often because they chopped scenes that they thought weren"t important but were).THE CAUNTERBURY TALES,voltaire"s candide was pretty funny, greek mythsoh, my gosh, I loved Gordon Korman's shit when i was a kid. I"d read "em all night.wrestling books and rock books are great too.I enjoyed Pride and Prejudice too actually. The merry adventures of Robin Hood and his men was awesome (the version that oddly only mentioned maid marian once in passing -- it just talked about the merry men and the exploits and eventually robin's passing).Aristophanes rocks.joseph campbell is an astounding intellect. The hitchhikers guide books. george burns and groucho marx had some funny autobiographies. My man Wolfman Jack's is great too.oscar wilde's importance of being ernest was a hoot, and picture of dorian gray was cool. The first story in Paul Auster's New York Trilogy was quite brilliant.dr. seuss. Are ASTERIX comics considered literature? They're awesome and amazing. A CHRISTMAS CAROL, the oddysey, FRANKENSTEIN, DRACULA, The strange case of dr. jekyll and mr. hyde, DO ANDROIDS DREAM OF ELECTRIC SHEEP (inspired blade runner)

Heroes:

Jesus, my GRANDMA and Gandhi -- all very enlightened people everyone can learn from (and NO, I'm not a fundamentalist -- but then I don't think any of them were either. Like Kamal from the jerky boys once said, "I love everyone in this life!" people can be who they are, marry who they want to, etc.) -- and Joseph Campbell, one of the best minds EVER!! oh, and my Canada always includes Rick mercer from this hour, etc. he's freakin' hilarious! I don't know if that makes him my hero though. I just think he's pretty funny.

My Blog

my cerebrally... no, wait... celebrity lookalikes

And IMAGINE, not a Lon Chaney Jr. in the bunch!!  Helloooo!! Heck, not even a George Lucas (you know, greek, furry face, wears jeans and a flannel shirt)  what the hell??  ...

mini movie idea
