About Me

Aris (born Aristedes Steven Lee Ziagos) believes his musical influence comes indirectly from his upbringing, the son of a Greek immigrant father and an Irish-American ex-belly dancing mother. Aris is finishing work on his debut LP, exploring a mix of rock, pop, electronica, country, rhythm and blues. The album also draws inspiration from Middle Eastern instrumentation and melody. A diverse group of music stylings, to stay the least, is showcased on Aris' debut LP, titled "the Storms". Early mixes from "The Storms" have been getting spun on the radio in Europe. "The Storms" will be released independently in July of 2008, and be shopped to labels and distributors.Aris also is an accomplished director of photography and editor, and runs RiotScience Productions (www.riotscience.com), a multimedia and events production company. Aris has produced numerous music videos, short films, commercials and content for TV and the web. Aris will be co-producing the first music video from the album, for "Open Fields" in May.
