I'm big in Argentina!

About Me

I am the proud offspring of a fabulous Cuban chick and a slightly less fabulous, but nevertheless handsome Guatemalan dude. I was born in New Orleans, Louisiana...yes, Louisiana, home of Anne Rice, crawfish, jazz, Truman Capote, and unfortunately, Britney Spears. I was born on December 31, 1981 which means my parents had a hell of a new year, I went to Florida International University and majored in television and video production. But above all, I'M A POP CULTURE ADDICT. POP CULTURE ES MI VIDA!!!
You are Paul McCartney! You are still touring
today. You are one of the best bass players
of all time and have written tons of great
music. Yeah, some of it is rather corny, but
you're great nonetheless.

You are Kermit the Frog!! You are loyal to your
friends and don't really know how to say No.
No matter what you were doing, you would drop
it in a second if a loved one was in trouble.
You are also a born star. Everyone loves you!

My Interests

SOME VERY WISE WORDS FROM MY GOOD FRIEND FAT JOE:
IF I WERE A DRAG QUEEN, THIS WOULD BE MY MUSICAL NUMBER:

I'd like to meet:

THIS GUY

Music:

...I love music. Without it, I'd be out of a job and out of a life. My favorites are The Beatles and The Strokes. In close second are the following (in no particular order): Foo Fighters, Weezer, The Shins, The White Stripes, Green Day, RHCP, early U2, Ryan Adams (Ryan...NOT Bryan), Audioslave, Coldplay, Stevie Wonder, the Mamas and the Papas, Miguel Bose, Badly Drawn Boy, Franz Ferdinand, Jeff Buckley, Keane, Hot Hot Heat, Kaiser Chiefs, Stellastarr* and pretty much every other "New-New Wave" band out there. And I also have a thing for good classic rock and oldies. Oh, and my guiltiest pleasures of all are George Michael and Robbie Williams. Yes, I do love the Eurotrash. Oh...wait a sec...I forgot to name John Mayer...c'mon people, he's pretty good!

Movies:

MOVIES: Alright, where do I start? All About My Mother, Talk to Her, Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown, The Flower of my Secret, and just came to the conclusion that since all the aforementioned films are by Pedro Almodovar, I should've just said that I like Pedro Almodovar films. Ok, let's see, what else??? Million Dollar Baby, Chicago, Before Night Falls, About A Boy, Evita (yeah, I know it sucks but its Madonna and Antonio in all their cheesy Andrew Lloyd Webber glory), A Hard Day's Night, This Is Spinal Tap, Some Like It Hot, Waiting for Guffman, La Dolce Vita, all those Merchant-Ivory Emma Thompson/Anthony Hopkins period films, almost anything Old Hollywood and/or with Cary Grant in it (especally the Hitchcock ones) and pretty much anything by Woody Allen...yes, even the recent films... width="425" height="350" ..

Television:

Television: My all time favorite: The Mary Tyler Moore Show (yup, I'm a dork). Apart from that, there's: The Kids In the Hall, any John Leguizamo HBO special (Mambo Mouth, Spic-O-Rama, Freak, Sexaholix...anyone will do) The Sopranos. I also like Absolutely Fabulous and almost any other britcom. I'm not a fan of reality shows, but I'm hooked on almost all the Bravo reality shows:Project Runway, Workout, Shear Genius...the list goes on.

Books:

Books: I can't be without my fixes of Vanity Fair, SPIN, Rolling Stone or Blender Magazines. my favorite books are "Before Night Falls" by Reinaldo Arenas and "The Mambo Kings Play Songs of Love" by Oscar Hijuelos. I've got a thing for books about Cubans...go figure.

Heroes:

My heroes are the four fabulous women who raised me AND...Mary Tyler Moore. Anyone who has "YOU'RE 'GONNA MAKE IT AFTERALL" in their show's theme song is a hero of mine :)
