Seems hard to describe everything you like to do in a little box but I'll give it a shot. Big home body.I like to spend time with family and friends just hanging out. Love to watch films (from all over the world).
Interesting People who have a personality.I want to be able to leave this shell of suburbia that I've gotten so use to. I want to reconnect with alot of people who I've just lost contact with. So there you have it, I'd like to meet everyone. =0
As you can tell I like alot of desi music. Must come from the fact that I was part of a Pakistani Radio Show for over 5 years. LOL Faakhir, Jaal, Atif Aslam, Adnan Sami Khan,Maroon 5, John Mayer,Indian film music, really anything with a good beat.
I'd like to share with all of you a scene from my all time loved film Devdas. Bhansali's mastery of film is seen in this one scene. Paro learns that the man dying outside her house is non other than her loved Devdas. Love that was torn apart by fate and Devdas' immaturity. He returns to see her one last time. Strange that my most treasured film is one that most would consider horrific, but to each his own... width="425" height="350" .. I'm basically a hindi film encyclopedia! LOL I know bizarre facts about hindi movies and all the filmi gossip about celebs. I could probably be one of those girls hosting some Bollywood show.Non Desi genre I like girly films like Legally Blonde, Clueless, etc. But my film buff side fell in love with Citizen Kane and other great films. So you see I have times where I'm intellectual and others where I just want to sit down and forget about everything that I'm going through.
Sadly lots of Indian and Pakistani soap operas Saat Phere is my current obsession. LOL
I've started reading again just because I really missed it. Recently I read Salt and Saffron by Kamila Shamsie and simply loved it. Mostly because I could connect witht the characters. I'm currently reading Jane Eyre courtesy of my best friend Rosa. LOL if only Kalinsky could see me now she got her revenge, I'm reading Jane Eyre for my own enjoyment where as I didn't read it for her class. LOL Can't forget about the Bell Jar. I love that book and it's one of a few books that I've read several times.I'm also reading The Peak of Eloquence by Imam Ali (aka Najuhl Balagha) The book has truly opened my eyes and shown me what a renaissance man he truly was. Religious beliefs aside I highly recommend it.
1)My parents they never give up no matter how bad 2)Imam Ali if you know anything about the man you know 3)Bibi Zainab: a strong Islamic woman any questions? 3)Wonder Woman hehehehehe
