Reynaldo Roque a.k.a. Rey Randal was born in 1983 in Chicago, but grow up in Gurabo, Puerto Rico. At the age of 6, Randal realized that his true passion was singing. From that point on he started educating his voice. With this knowledge Randal began to attend auditions. In 2004, he participated in the Mister Puerto Rico model competition. Thanks to the talent portion of the competition Randal took center stage robbing the spot light. This display of vocal talent gain him the first place prize. At 23 years old Randal decided to move to Miami Florida to try and open opportunities to further his career. After establishing his life in unfamiliar surroundings many opportunity arose. He participated in Rumbo al Exito 2008, a Coca Cola and Walmart vocal competition, which he got second place. After this he managed to promote himself in Puerto Rico and started attending events. Through his social network and the help of family he has composed and recorded. While trying to promote ’Completamente Yo’ In December of 08’ Randal participated in La Mega Estrella a reality radio competition on Miami station 94.9 La Mega. He was selected from 300 participants. After a series of show cases things were narrowed down and he made the final three. Which gave him another opportunity to perform live and captivate the audience. In the summer of 2009 Rey Randal was chosen along with 20 other participants form all over the western hemisphere to compete in a music reality show called Batalla de Las Americas which he placed first. In this he was able to display his talent to a much wider audience. The show aired in more then 15 different countries around the world. After a rigorous 13 weeks of daily training, physically and mentally, he was able to gain the majority of votes placed by the public and win over all the judges. The first place title of this competition was a clear sing that he was not only an artist with talent but a rising star. With the grand prize being an open invitation to the new band Xm2 (a band that would consist of two ex-Menudo members) Randal feels he can take on more. He’s still writing songs and looking for a manager or a record deal. He is a young Latin artist who describes his music as pop. A mix of r&b with a heart filled ballad vocal. He definitely has a unique style and great voice. He has been compared to such artist as Jay Sean, Ne-Yo, and David Bisbal . He’s not only comparable but the way he sings, controls the stage, and manages the audience makes him a solid artist full of everything that makes the difference...
