Led Blimpie plays Led Zeppelin...Not dress up.

About Me

Get ready to hear immaculate Led Zeppelin renditions!
In the vein of the Fab Faux, Led Blimpie truly captures the sound of Zeppelins cherished recordings to the delight of their quickly growing fan-base. These guys dont dress up so dont expect a look-a-like show. With a singer that also plays guitar and harmonica and a regular cast of guest performers, the members of this band are no mere impersonators.
Singer, Sean sings Robert Plant like no one else. Not an imitator or a screamer, he captures all of Plants dynamic range by making the songs his own. From the soft, melodious verses in Going to California to the grand, wailing crescendos in Whole Lotta Love, Sean nails it every time.
Lead guitarist, Thor Fields has been studying the Jimmy Page repertoire for nearly 20 years. His renditions are deadly accurate. Whether he's playing one of the 7 or so guitar tunings, the mandolin or even the Theremin, Thor has somehow captured the genius of Page's style and made it look easy.
Bassist, Raphael holds down the bottom with great confidence and groove. Just as John Paul Jones was the quiet one, Raph's laid back style and bluesy renderings could be considered the calm in the eye of the storm. In stark contrast to the exuberant performances of the other members, Raph's magnificent playing helps to keep it tight but loose.
Drummer, Mathieu is one of the hardest-hitting, in-the-pocket, rock-solid drummers you will ever hear!
'nuff said.
Keyboardist, Thomas doesn’t just tickle the ivories...he pounds on them! Clavinet, Hammond B3, Werlitzer, Piano...he recreates the classic sounds at will. A virtual encyclopedia of music, Thomas blends the jazz and the funk with his interminable rock and roll spirit.
Note: These tunes were recorded in 2005 with former band member Eric on Drums. Stay tuned for the new recordings featuring Mat on Drums and Thomas ..boards!
Led Blimpie always gets the crowd going. Shows can range in duration from 1 to 4 hours. The band has been known to take request after request and often encourages the audience to sing-a-long on such classics as Black Dog and The Ocean.
