Simon Scott and the band of Infidels

About Me

Simon Scott was born in the north of England, he migrated to London as a teenager and began working as a musician, singing and playing guitar in a number of bands around the city. During this period he was inundated with a myriad of musical influences, including rock, punk, soul, and country. After some time spent singing in a soul band (The Soul Winners) Scott formed his own group, Southern Fly, and proceeded to cut several records. Southern Fly maintained a busy touring schedule and Scott continued to hone his sound in the bars and rock and roll clubs of London and other European cities. Scott moved to New York City as a veteran musician. He lived in Spanish Harlem, writing songs and working as a chef to pay the rent. Rhythm Guitar, Shakers and Tambourines' was recorded in Feb 2006 in Oxford Mississippi. Appearing on this record are Cody and Luther Dickinson, (North Mississippi Allstars) and Carwin Ellis (colourama). When he returned to New York City he formed a new band, Simon Scott and the band of Infidels. -Adam McLain 1/28/07 -
