Formed in summer '06, Suburban Soul originally was a two-piece acoustic rock act with heavy influence in blues. As the project gained attention and popularity, it was time to take this acoustic duo and turn it into a full-fledged rock/blues act, the likes of which has not been seen since Sublime. Frontman, Andy Greene Ball, and Bassist, JJ Watson, enlisted long-time friend and Drummer, Johan Blixt, to add his style to the mix and round out the rhythm section. Thus, Suburban Soul was born. In late 2006, while still searching for a lead guitarist, Andy and Justin preformed at the Eddie's Attic Open Mic Competition in Atlanta, Georgia in front of the bands core fan group. Little did they know that their soon to be lead guitarist was in attendance . Graham Wire, like the rest of the crowd, was blown away by what he heard, and recognizing the potential of this project, approached Andy and Justin after the preformance. What was supposed to be a jam session the following week, turned out to be an audition, and after just one session, Graham was welcomed with open arms into what promises to be an explosive force in the Atlanta music scene. With their powerful, hard hitting lyrics, funky yet soulful basslines, and screaming blues riffs, Suburban Soul is unlike anything you've ever heard. Watch out, cause once you've seen these guys, you'll never be the same!
